Young Living Lavender Oil!

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) Essential Oil is a wonderfully calming oil, bringing comfort to the entire body from head to toe. When diffused, this oil helps to encourage peaceful, relaxation, which makes it an especially great choice for bedtime diffusing. Adding a few drops to bath products such as soaps, shampoos, and the like makes for a spa-like shower experience. Lavender is also soothing to the skin and can provide relief when used on cuts, scrapes, and bruises.
Lavender Vitality makes for a versatile addition to culinary experiences. From savory dishes, with herbs like thyme, rosemary, and oregano, to sweet desserts or fruit jellies, this oil can enhance almost any dish.
Some of my favorite uses for Lavender and Lavender Vitality are:
1.  Lavender Vitality-Lemon Vitality water: I like adding a drop to a pitcher with a few drops of Lemon Vitality and just a little sweetener to give my citrus water a twist, or I’ll just add one drop of each to a glass of water.

2. Lavender roller: 10 drops in a 10 ml roller bottle filled with carrier oil (my personal favorite is organic olive oil) – I roll this on to support the skin after minor injuries.
3. Diffusing Lavender with Lemon and Peppermint Essential Oils are what we call the “Mardi Gras Trio” to help support our sinuses during times of seasonal discomfort.
4. I add a drop to my Shampoo and Conditioner recipes to support healthy hair.
5. I like adding Lavender to my DIY Foaming Hand Soap for a smooth hands.
6. A drop of Lavender can be comforting on canker sores, though I must say, I find it tastes a little weird all by itself, but the relief is worth it to me!
7. I use a few drops of Lavender in my moisturizer as well, which is in a roller bottle filled with Jojoba oil along with several drops of Frankincense and Lemon Essential Oils.
These are just a few of my favorite reasons why I love Lavender and Lavender Vitality, but you certainly don’t have to take my word for it. Want to do your own research about this oil? Check out the following peer-reviewed studies, or discover some yourself at:

Young Living’s Lemon Oil and Lemon Vitality!

Lemon Essential Oil (Citrus limon peel oil) is such an amazingly versatile oil. Its dietary counterpart is Lemon Vitality. The light, clean scent of Lemon is wonderful for diffusing to eliminate odors and freshen the air; other uses vary from household cleaning to personal care. Some of my favorites are:
1. 1-2 drops Lemon Vitality in a glass of water for a flavor enhancer/natural detox (had too many adult beverages? Drink lemon water before bed and you’ll feel great in the morning!)
2. 1 drop Lemon Vitality in a bowl of water to use as a fruit/veggie soak

3. 1 drop Lemon EO on tough, sticky residue from labels, price tags, etc – I used it on a glass that had writing with sharpie on it and it came right off after all of my other failed attempts to remove it
4. 1 drop Lemon EO to reduce the appearance of blemishes (though do not use right before going outside, as it can cause photo sensitivity)
5. add a few drops Lemon EO to your DIY hand soap for a fresh, clean scent
6. For immunity support, use the Thieves Tea Recipe: 1 drop Lemon Vitality, 1 drop Peppermint Vitality, 1 drop Thieves Vitality, 1 tsp of honey, all in a mug of hot water or tea
7. 2-3 drops Lemon Vitality mixed in to homemade cream cheese frosting to add a tasty zing
These are just a few of my favorite reasons why I love Lemon and Lemon Vitality, but you certainly don’t have to take my word for it. Want to do your own research about this oil? Check out the following peer-reviewed studies, or discover some yourself at:

Young Living’s Thieves: Clean Smarter

Thieves Essential Oil is a blend of clove bud oil, lemon peel oil, cinnamon bark oil, eucalyptus leaf oil, and rosemary leaf oil. This potent combination packs a serious punch when it comes to immunity support. The name “thieves” comes from the legend of 15th century French thieves who used a similar combination while robbing the dead and dying during the plague. When taken as a supplement and used topically, thieves supports a healthy immune system as well as a healthy respiratory system.
This is a very versatile oil, as there are so many household uses for it! In fact, there is an entire product line centered around this one oil, from toothpaste and other dental care, to household cleaner and laundry soap, and even mints!. There isn’t much around the house that the Thieves blend can’t handle.
This oil has become a daily staple around my house. Here are our favorite uses:
1. Healthy Immune Support: 10 drops in a 10-ml roller filled with coconut oil (or other organic carrier oil) rolled on the bottoms of our feet daily in a.m.
2. Cleaning Spray: 3 drops in a 2 oz glass spray bottle filled with distilled water; this can be used to clean surfaces. I spray surfaces and then wipe with a microfiber cloth. Take a bottle of this on the go and spray shopping carts, too!
3. “Thieves Tea” (used for immune boost): 1 drop thieves, 1 drop lemon, 1 drop peppermint, 1 tsp honey in a warm mug of tea or water
4. Dishwasher booster: 1 drop added to dishwasher soap (or spray some of the cleaning spray in the dishwasher before running) will help eliminate residue on dishes.
5. Hand Sanitizer: Use a 2 oz squeeze bottle and combine the following: 3 Tbsp 100% aloe vera gel, 1/8 tsp Vitamin E Oil, 1 Tbsp distilled water, and 5-10 drops of Thieves. Carry with you for an on-the-go immune boost/water-less hand cleaner!
These are just a few reasons why I love Thieves Essential Oil. But, you certainly don’t have to take my word for it. Want to do your own research about this oil? Here are some great sites to begin your search (though, you’ll likely need to search by individual oils in the blend):

Young Living Frankincense Oil!

Good ole Frank!

Let’s talk about one of my favorite essential oils, Frankincense!  Probably the most famous essential oil of all, there are over 50 references in the Bible, and we all know Frankincense as having been one of the gifts the magi brought to Jesus.  It was considered more valuable than gold in ancient times for it’s amazing health benefits.  So we know it’s amazing, but how do we use it???

Oh so many ways!  I love the ability of this oil to calm me down when I’m feeling anxious.  I put 1 drop in my palm, rub my palms together, cup and inhale deeply.  You can almost feel yourself going back to simpler times.  I diffuse this oil whenever I meditate or pray and it really enhances my connection to God and to my inner self.

Frankincense, along with many other essential oils, is actually able to cross the blood brain barrier, and because of its ability to support the nervous system, it can be beneficial for people with all different types of nervous disorders.  I’ve actually been using frankincense on my daughter who was born with a brain disorder and have seen surprising improvements in her fine motor and oral motor skills!

Another great use of this oil is in supporting the skin.  I use this nightly, along with lavender and lemon diluted as a moisturizer on my face and have seen a noticeable difference in the evenness of my skin tone, as well as a decrease in fine lines and have even seen my freckles lighten!

To alleviate head discomfort, put 1 drop frankincense on your thumb and apply it to the roof of your mouth for 1 minute.

Frankincense is also great for supporting the respiratory and immune system.  I diffuse this along with thieves or RC whenever I want to step up my kids immune systems or to knock out something brewing before it starts.

I love using the benefits of nature to keep my family happy and healthy and wouldn’t have it any other way!  Want to research for yourself why oils are amazing?  Try these sites!

Young Living’s Peppermint Oil!

It was love at first scent for Peppermint Essential Oil and me. This was the oil that opened my world to all essential oils. At my first Young Living Essential Oils 101 class, I got to place a drop of Peppermint Oil in my hands, and then cup my hands over my face and take in the amazing, uplifting smell. Immediately, I felt everything opening up, and felt so invigorated and refreshed. Peppermint (Mentha Piperita) Essential Oil has long been regarded for its uses of supporting normal digestion and healthy intestinal and gastrointestinal system functions. Its uplifting aroma can help with occasional head tension and, in combination with lemon and lavender, can help seasonal nasal and sinus discomfort.

Throughout my journey with essential oils, this has remained one of my favorites. I love adding a drop in my water while I am exercising to help refresh my energy, or I’ll roll some on diluted to my belly button for digestive comfort, or to my temples to ease head tension after a long day. Additionally, I’ve used a drop in my belly button to support normal body temperatures.

Peppermint Essential Oil has so many amazing health benefits, but it’s also delicious in recipes! Here are some of my personal favorites:

1. Add 5 drops to your favorite brownie mix and bake as normal. These are AMAZING!!

2. Add 3-5 drops to a glass pitcher of water along with some cucumber slices. It’s your very own fancy spa drink! Your friends will really be impressed – trust me!

3. One drop turns regular mocha iced coffee into a peppermint mocha! YUMMY!

4. One drop in your regular coffee helps to eliminate coffee breath.

5. Add a drop of peppermint along with a drop of thieves and lemon to a warm mug of water or hot tea with a little spoonful of honey, and you’ve got a recipe for “Thieves Tea,” my go-to when I feel a bit under the weather.

This is my own personal testimony of why I love Peppermint Essential Oil so much, but you certainly don’t have to take my word for it. Want to do your own research about this oil? Check out the following peer-reviewed studies, or discover some yourself at:
